Care & Support Assistant / Driver – Henley Centre

We are recruiting Care and Support Assistants into our Complex Needs service who provide practical, personal and emotional care and support to our customers who have a range of different physical and social needs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Tasks ranging from personal care, assisting with medication to general health and wellbeing checks.
  • Liaising with health care professionals.
  • Supporting with activities such as baking preparation, crafting and music making.
  • Reporting as front line staff to the senior members of team with any updates, incidents or concerns.
  • Your role will also consist of driving the company minibus to allow and encourage customers to remain active and engaged within their community, which plays a pivotal role in maintaining their independence.

 

Abilities & Skills:

  • Compassionate, enthusiastic & kind. Have a sound understanding of good care principles and work flexibly to the services needs.
  • Supportive listening and to provide guidance when required.
  • Good verbal communication skills. Awareness of sensitivity and discretion in all verbal and written information.
  • Good IT skills for online training, learning and development courses. A willingness to complete NVQ 2 in care within 2 years.
  • Dedicated and passionate about making a difference in our customer lives

 

Location: Henley Centre, Kettering

Rota to include: 37 hours per week (Between 8am – 5pm) Monday – Friday
