Cook – Pine Lodge

Salary: £8.85 per hour

 

Within this role you will support the Senior Cook and the team by ordering cooking supplies and preparing and cooking meals for customers within the residential setting. You will ensure that the dining area is prepared at meal times and assist in serving of food and drinks.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Developing menu plans, ensuring a wide variety of healthy food is included. Ensuring all dietry requirements are understood and met
  • To order all food and cooking supplies to maintain adequate stock
  • Prepare and cook all foods, ensuring all meals are prepared to a high standard. Using kitchen equipment such as meat thermometers and timers.
  • To carry out 6 monthly audits to ensure all kitchen equipment meets specific standards
  • Receive and check all food and cooking supplies deliveries. Verifying invoices for payment

 

Abilities & Skills

  • Basic food hygiene certificate
  • Awareness of Health & Safety in your work place
  • Able to comply with statuary and council regulations, guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Mange own time and work to deadline
  • Understand a person’s background and beliefs may affect their food choices

 

Location: Pine Lodge, Corby

Rota to include: 20 hours. Monday – Friday
