By helping you to learn new ways of completing everyday tasks, our friendly Community Occupational Therapy team could help you to do things by yourself again, such as accessing or leaving your house, safely moving around inside your home, climbing the stairs; and getting dressed and washed by yourself.
By talking to you, and finding out what you would like help with, our team will identify any adaptations you might need and pass the recommendations to yourself or your local council. These recommendations could include
If we think you might benefit, we can also link you to our telecare service which can offer a range of assistive technology and telecare equipment such as Lifeline units and specialised smoke detectors.
We do not charge for an assessment with our Community Occupational Therapy service.
After meeting with you, we will refer our recommendations to the appropriate supporting agencies who may fund and undertake any purchases and adaptations we have suggested.
We provide a range of care and support services throughout Northamptonshire for adults with disabilities and older people.
