Each one of our care homes has its own unique character and everyone who stays with us is treated equally with compassion, dignity and respect. Whichever home you choose, you will be supported to maintain your independence and to live your life as you would like to.
Our friendly care teams will put together a personalised care plan just for you and, with the support of your friends and family, we will work hard to make sure you are happy and extremely well cared for.
Your new home will be a safe, warm and comfortable place where you can enjoy your own well-decorated bedroom, with its integral hand basin. You can personalise your bedroom with your own furniture, soft furnishings and treasured mementoes.
Your room will be conveniently located near specialist bathing and toilet facilities; and reassuring safety features, such as door alarms and emergency cords, will be in place throughout for your peace of mind.
Everywhere around the home is kept beautifully clean by our hardworking housekeeping teams and your linen and washing will be regularly freshly laundered and carefully returned.
Each home has peaceful quiet areas as well as large lounges where you can socialise with other residents. There are also beautifully maintained ponds and gardens with pleasant seating areas where you can relax or even do a spot of light gardening.
Our talented onsite cooks prepare delicious seasonal menus of appetising hot and cold meals using only the most fresh and nutritious ingredients. You will be encouraged to contribute to menu plans as we like to give everybody the chance to enjoy some of their favourite meals!
If you have specific dietary requirements or preferences, you can be sure that you will still enjoy delicious home cooked meals, every day.
You can also invite your friends and loved-ones to join you at mealtimes, which are always fun and very enjoyable occasions!
When you move into your new home, you may continue to be cared for by your current GP or, when this is not possible, we can help you to register at a new practice near your new home.
We will support you to manage your own medications in agreement with your GP, but whenever possible, family members or representatives should accompany you on your medical appointments.
Whilst we have excellent links with the local medical community, we do not currently provide specialist nursing care or support customers with alcohol or drug dependencies.
When space is available, we may be able to offer short-term respite care in some of our homes for individuals who are usually cared for at home, or to those who have been in hospital and require convalescence following discharge.
We believe that it’s really important to help you keep up with any hobbies and friends from before you moved into your new home, and will work out a way with you and your family to help you do this.
You may also like to try some of the many entertaining activities and events we organise such as: theme nights; local history discussions; jewellery making; and exercise classes. There are also active links with local communities and various schools, clubs and societies which frequently visit to socialise with residents.
If there is a group or activity you would like us to run in your new home, you can always suggest it to us. We are always looking for new ideas and will always try to accommodate any suggestions you make.
If you have green fingers, you might enjoy helping to keep the gardens in your new home blooming, by doing a little light gardening or growing vegetables in the greenhouses.
Each care home is set in its own grounds with well-maintained gardens, ponds and peaceful outdoor seating areas; which become a beautiful extension of the home during the warmer weather.
You might also like to go out on some of the day trips we organise to local places of interest and sometimes even further afield. These fun days out are a safe and enjoyable way of visiting some of the wonderful places we have to explore in Northamptonshire and the neighbouring counties.
All religious beliefs and denominations are respected within our homes and we can arrange services for you with visiting ministers and priests, or support you to attend a local place of worship of your choice.
Your new home will be run by an experienced care home manager, supported by a team of friendly and skilled carers who are dedicated to providing you with care that’s right for you.
At Olympus Care Services, our teams understand that their role is to support our customers to carry on living their life, their way. That’s why we put together personalised care plans giving our customers control over how they would like to be cared for.
Because we understand that great care starts with our carers, we always ensure that we have the right number of carers on duty at any one time. We also invest in regular staff training and development so that our teams are in the best possible position to provide the highest quality care.
We welcome feedback on our care and services from residents and their families so that we can continue to develop and improve our services to you.
All of our homes have an open, friendly atmosphere where any queries, comments and concerns are sympathetically listened to and quickly resolved.
We also have a dedicated Quality Team that regularly visits our homes to make sure that our customers are safe and well care for.
Like other residential care home providers, we are also inspected by the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator of all health and social care services in England and Wales.
You can read our latest inspection reports by visiting the Care Quality Commission’s website www.cqc.org.uk
Olympus Care Services welcomes residents who are able to pay for their own care as well as those who are assisted by Northamptonshire County Council.
Our residential care home fees are charged as 12 equal monthly payments.
The fees include:
The monthly fee depends on the intensity of care and support a customer needs. We will discuss all costs openly and honestly with you during your initial assessment, so you know exactly what you are paying for and how much it will be.
You may also choose to enjoy some of the additional services we are able to offer at competitive prices including: professional hair and beauty services; dentistry and optical services; a privately registered chiropodist; personal and luxury items; newspapers; refreshments; and private transport.
If a carer is required to support you to attend an event or appointment outside of the care plan that was originally agreed, there may be an additional cost which we will explain to you beforehand.Download our brochure
