We have been inspected and the verdict is ……. Outstanding!

We are delighted with the results of our recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission, the regulatory body for health and social care services in England.

There are five sections to the inspection, which question if the service is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led and the findings cover each one individually.

The inspector had spoken to customers, carers and staff after her visit to our offices and she had very positive feedback. The overall rating awarded was outstanding in three of the five categories, Safe, Caring and Well-Led.  The inspector reported that they spoke to a lot of our carers and customers and had never had feedback that was so positive from all the carers they spoke to, but this is what they would expect from an Outstanding service.

A Shared Lives carer commented “it is brilliant, it’s not just about what we (the carers) do it’s what ALL you (SL Team) lot do and the great support we get from all you guys too.  Well done!” (Carer T)

“Great news, expected nothing less, although it’s not just about us it’s also you and your amazing team who always goes above and beyond” (carer J)

Service Manager Emma Davies-Rota says “We would like to thank all of the customers, relatives and of course our carers who responded to the inspection I cannot say how pleased we all are but really this is all about you and the amazing work you all do.  The inspectors were so impressed with all of those they spoke to and could not praise us all enough so this celebration is for you too and I am proud to have you all in my team! Well done to each and every one of you this is great news!!!!”
